In the scene when Eli and Solara are hunkered down for the night in an abandoned nuclear siloĪnd in another scene he can be eerily nice and happy or joyful in a way that makes everyone else uncomfortable. She plays Solara a young girl with a child-like voice who is energetic and strong willed. Mila Kunis is another Personality actor in the movie the Book of Eli. You can witness this talent of his in a great many of his movies when he has been injured and it expressing the pain in a strong manly way of course. He has eyes with low lids that seem to convey sorrow or sadness, and his facial expressions in his close up scenes are quite dramatic and well developed. One quality that can be acknowledged is Denzel’s great talent when emoting pain on the big screen. Eventually a battle ensues and Carnegie retrieves the bible, but Eli and Solara escape and continue the journey to Alcatraz Island a fortress compound run by a man that aims to collect all human knowledge and safe guard it to restart civilization. Carnegie has Solara played by Mila Kunis try and seduce Eli into joining forces, but to no avail Eli is not interested in the offer.

Along the way he stops in a small town run by a man named Carnegie played by Gary Oldman. Eli played by Denzel Washington is a nomad on a quest to deliver a bible to a special place for safe keeping. The surviving humans either became nomads or developed small shanty towns. It is a futuristic western in a world after an apocalyptic war that destroyed the landscape and left the world almost barren. The Book of Eli is a film that best fits into the genre category of western.
